Bela Chheda, MD

She co-founded the Center for Complex Diseases with Dr. Kaufman in 2017 after recognizing a gap in traditional medicine for complex chronic illnesses, particularly ME/CFS. She is a nationally recognized expert in ME/CFS, Long COVID, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.

Dr. Kaufman completed his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC and spent decades treating HIV/AIDS patients before founding the Center for Complex Diseases in 2017. He is a working member of the U.S. ME/CFS Clinical Coalition, a member of the ME/CFS Collaborative Research Center at Stanford, and an active participant in national clinician networks focused on ME/CFS, MCAS, and Autoimmune Disease.
