He also holds a formal background in applied physiology and kinesiology and prior clinical experience as a myofascial massage therapist.

He earned his B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego, completed his M.D. at St. George's University School of Medicine, his Family Medicine residency at St. Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, and later became board certified in Obesity Medicine through Columbia Cornell University. A former semi-professional soccer athlete, his goal is to empower patients to take control of their health and live stronger, more vibrant lives.
