Dr. Baessler is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and shoulder specialist who joined IndyShoulder in 2023. He earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, and pursued a fellowship in shoulder and sports medicine at Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics (University of Tennessee) in Memphis. He is a member of AAOS, AANA, and ASES.

A native of South Bend, Indiana, Dr. Badman attended Indiana University for both undergraduate and medical education, graduating Summa Cum Laude and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Florida-Gainesville in 2005 and a prestigious shoulder and elbow fellowship at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa in 2006. He founded IndyShoulder in 2006 and is a board-certified, fellowship-trained shoulder specialist and member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society.
